Easter Morning

Because the mantle was covered in boxes the Easter Bunny left the baskets on top of the kitchen table.

Little Bird got this cute dress from her grandma. Her hair was done nicely in the morning, but we didn't have time for a photo then. I did make clothes this year for the kids, but the weather didn't cooperate and they will be making their debut at a later date. :)

This was actually taken yesterday, but I didn't want to do another post. The hat was in a pile to give to a friend because it's actually too small for her (it's the style that supposed to be a little baggy on top of your head). She found it and kept it on all day even though it was warm. Of course she wouldn't do that back when it fit her.

S'mores sans Chocolate

Because of The Chief's allergies he can't have chocolate, but he still enjoyed the melted marshmallowy goodness on top of the graham cracker (even if it was a little messy).
Surprisingly, Little Bird wasn't a fan of the combo but preferred the ingredients separate.

Bubbles

There isn't much to say...just that bubbles are pretty radical.

24 weeks pregnant

Coloring Eggs

The day before Easter the kiddos colored Easter Eggs.
Little Bird thought it was pretty awesome.

Sharing the news with Neighbors

I always thought it would be fun to announce the gender of my baby with food so I decided that I would make a treat for my neighbors and let them know I am expecting a boy.

I decided to make my very most favorite cupcakes EVER...coconut cupcakes with cream cheese frosting from the Barefoot Contessa and added a homemade blueberry filling. Yum!

Easter Egg Hunt

I went back and forth on whether I should do an Easter Egg hunt this year because we're in the middle of a big move, but even a move can't mess with tradition. We invited our friends (who are also our neighbors a couple of houses down) and it was a lot of fun.

The kids are eagerly awaiting our guests so they can start hunting.

Part of the tradition is to line up the kids and take their picture before the hunt.
This is the best we could do. :)

Gaia wants to check out what Little Bird is finding in her eggs.

The Chief was interested in finding eggs in the beginning, but once he made it up to the pebble pit he found the rocks much more fun to play with.

This is me with my friend Lori.

Shaili (Lori's daughter), her daughter Gaia, and fiancee Devon/Devin (not sure how it's spelled).

I didn't have as many hunts this year as last year, but we did do one additional hunt for the kids.

They got bubbles, Cotton Tails (cheese puffs), and a bunny mask. (Yes, if you remember the blog from last year those masks are familiar.)

While the kids and the men were playing with the bubbles, Lizard hid eggs for the adult hunt. Hubby and I had enough eggs from all our kids, so Shaili, Lori and her husband Kelly participated in the hunt.

Little Bird thought that Lori needed some help finding her eggs.
