Announcing...

Okay, so it's probably common knowledge by now, but I am slow when it comes to making this kind of announcement. So...in case there are some of you out there who look and my blog and don't know yet, I am expecting baby #4!

When it comes to my pregnancies I have a few patterns that I like to follow...I always go into labor within an hour of going to bed, all my labors have begun on a weekend, it's always convenient for my mother, and all my babies were 7lbs. 11oz. at birth. In addition, two out of the three of my previous pregnancies were accompanied by an out of state move. Why break with tradition?!

I'm not too worried about finding a new doctor though. Not one of my doctors has been present at the delivery of any of my children because they were either out of town or not on call. So, if I don't find a doctor I love, no biggy they probably won't be the one delivering this baby anyways. :)

I am currently 20 weeks and will be 21 weeks on Sunday. Tuesday I found out what I am having, and it's a....

BABY BOY

Little Bird Turns 3

When I asked Little Bird what kind of party she wanted she said, "A pink party."

When I asked her who she wanted to come to her party she said,
"Ella, Madtix and Conny."

Ella is a cute girl 6 months older than Little Bird
Madtix is a boy from church two or three months younger than Little Bird
Conny is a sweet neighbor in her 80's that we visit like to visit

It would have been quite the dynamic group. :)

In the end we decided to keep it simple and just had a family party.

As a disclaimer, the gift bags are our presents to Little Bird and the wrapped presents are from Grandma. She even matched the pink party theme with the princess paper.

She's just waking up and is trying to figure out why I have a camera. You can tell it all of a sudden hits her what's going on.

If you're going to have a pink party you need the dress to match. I think I was inspired to make this dress for her so she could wear on her birthday.

Little Bird got a visit from Conny and was given some cute gifts. The plush is one that Conny and her late husband bought together because it reminded them of their dog when she was a puppy. Little Bird loves the real dog, but all she does it growl at us whenever we visit. Conny wanted her to have a special gift and Little Bird carried the puppy around the house all day.

PARTY TIME!!!

The Chief watches from the high chair.

The foodie gives a good reaction to the sparkly princess Jelly Belly beans.

A princess car perfect for her new doll from Conny.

The crown came off the birthday card from Grandma and Grandpa.
Her other grandma made her a darling card that is on display. She always makes fun cards for all the kids on all the holidays.

"Let it go, let it go, the cold never bothered me anyways."
Wish I could say the same thing...brrrr, the cold sure bothers me!

Pink Cake for a pink party. It's a vanilla bean cake with a Swiss Meringue buttercream.
It was a little time consuming to make, but was yummy. Little Bird was nice enough to share with the neighbors thank heavens. That was a lot of cake!!
