For two weeks Little Bird and The Chief took swimming lessons...well, more like "how now to die lessons." The Chief learned how to turn on his back and grab the wall, though he still has work to do, and Little Bird can swim to the side and grab the wall if she falls in. I wouldn't say that either of them would make it if no one was around, but they both love the water and are at least a little safer than they were before.
Little Bird did not like the lessons and
tried to escape. I had to sit somewhere out of sight so she would stay
in the pool. It wasn't until the last day that she decided it was kind
of fun and let me take the photos below.
The Chief never enjoyed his lessons and would be hoarse everyday from screaming the entire time.
This gal taught my brother-in law to swim so she's been doing it for a very long time. She is really good with the kids and has a lot of patience.
