Lowe's has this awesome free Build and Grow workshop about once a month on Saturdays (Home Depot has one too). The kids get an apron, and a patch when they complete a project. We've done it twice so far the the kids love it.

is why I am the one who puts together all the furniture we get from
Ikea or online...hubby was helping The Chief and put the piece with the
flowers on backwards.
Lizard was worried she might be a little too old for the workshop...or a little too cool...but had fun in the end.
