4th of July

This 4th of July we spent together as a family...well, almost. Lizard was in California with her cousin Cooper and her grandparents having a blast in Santa Cruz so we were one short. You can shoot off all kinds of cool fireworks here so hubby took advantage and bought some rockets. While we lit some of the small ones with the little kids (Little Bird cried if you lit anything loud...that's just about everything), we waited until it got dark to shoot off the big ones. That didn't happen until around 9pm so we put the kids to bed and had a "date night" fireworks show. It was incredible. For those of you who have been to the Folsom rodeo and seen their fireworks show imagine that happening all around you for two to three hours and that's what it was like. Very cool!!

BBQ Bacon Avocado Burger

He didn't have a hamburger, but he wished could have.

Little Bird enjoying a pickle.

Little Bird didn't have any red so we went with all pink.

Our neighbor wanted to know what we were up to. :)
